Vispark’s ERP for service and construction industry

Sudha Swaminathan / Coimbatore

With SMEs being the biggest potential market for ERP solutions, Coimbatore-based Vispark Solutions, an information and telecommunication service company, is vying to tap this market. The company has introduced an integrated job costing management system, Active Track, for manufacturing, construction and automobile service centres in the SME segment.

“Today, SMEs are competing with corporate houses in enhancing quality and customer satisfaction. They are slowly graduating from accounting and inventory management packages. Management of cost-related activities like preparation of estimates and job card generation will be the next requirement, which we have addressed effectively”, said C A Devaraj, general manager, Business Development, Vispark Solutions. Active Track is developed using the Microsoft platform with VB and SQC Server front-end and back-end respectively under the Windows NT/2000 environment. It has four important modules: Estimation, job costing, inventory and accounts.

Vispark has already launched the package in international markets like Belgium and Mauritius. “The product is altered to suit the needs of Indian companies. We have provided a multi-currency option in the purchase module to handle the imported component. A module for calculating VAT is also enabled.

When VAT is in effect, customers can seamlessly switch over with no additional cost,” said Devaraj. Vispark is the process of identifying channel partners to market the product.
