Infogain plans to extend Indian operations

Gaurav Patra / New Delhi

US-based Infogain Corpo-ration, a company known for its competencies in e-CRM, business intelligence, EAI and e-business and outsourcing, has plans to expand its operation in India. Kapil Nanda, the chairman and CEO of Infogain Corporation USA, said that the Indian market is critical for the company. “The Indian market is an emerging market and today we are seriously venturing into it,” said Nanda. Initially, the company will be focusing on increasing its customer-base in India. It is also trying to acquire an Indian company as part of its growth strategy in India. The company expects this acquisition to help it in expanding its reach in India. “Acquisitions are always critical to our growth strategy. We are in the process of acquiring one in UK and will soon acquire one company in India too. We expect these acquisitions to add value to us in the long run,” informed Nanda.

The company is also in the process of expanding its software development facility in Noida, near Delhi, and plans to double the number of software developers at the facility. Nanda said that the company expects the Indian facility to play a major role in the future as more and more software development jobs will be done from here. Infogain is also looking at working with call centres in India.

The company plans to leverage the Indian experience of its partners, who are considered to be leading players in CRM and the solution integration business. And with more than a decade of systems integration experience and proven methodologies under its belt, Infogain has the expertise to connect front, middle and back-office systems for its customers in India, said Nanda.

Infogain’s mission is to enable clients to effectively compete in the e-business environment by leveraging their people and technology for the development and integration of value-based services. To strengthen its Indian business operations, the company has recently recruited Abhay Sinha as the managing director for its wholly-owned Indian subsidiary Infogain India.
