Broadband Networks, a Bharti Group company, which provides
a range of integrated solutions and services to the corporate,
SME and SOHO segments, as well as high quality Internet connectivity
solutions for residential consumers across key markets, has
announced the launch of Networkthree. Networkthree is a state-of-the-art
convergent network architecture that it developed utilising
fibre broadband, satellite broadband and Internet and mobile
data/GPRS.
The
entire solution is structured on an architecture, which seamlessly
integrates the Access Layer, the Distribution Layer, and the
Core. And this architecture is really unique, said Ashok
Juneja, CEO, Bharti Broadband Networks. This will enable
corporates to have a complete private network connecting all
their remote locations. This can be used for different activities
like distance education, e-learning, video conferencing, mobile
access for e-mail or any other applications like ERP, IM,
etc, he further added. Giving one example, he said that
the ATM core network on fibre would utilise the in-built redundancies
to provide connectivity bet-ween the head offices and the
pan-India branch offices; the latter linking up to the remote
offices in turn. Data sent over fibre may move on to
VSATs to reach the remote locations and enjoy assured throughputs
all across the network, informed Juneja. This Ne-tworkthree
architecture is targeted mainly at corporate customers.
Bharti
Broadband reflects the Bharti Groups pro-activeness
to align its business activities to dynamic market requirements,
and ensure the highest standards of service to its customers.
Networkthree is one such initiative, added Juneja. It
also underscores Bhartis efforts to put a sharper focus
on the broadband market, and to create a common platform for
developing integrated business communications solutions for
customers.
