Linksys launches networking products for SME segment

Ec News Network / Mumbai

Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, a leading provider of broadband, wireless and networking hardware for the consumer and small office/home office (SOHO) markets has officially launched its line of wired and wireless networking products and services throughout India. Besides distribution of products through partners Ingram Micro and Tech Pacific India, Linksys is also working on plans to roll out its product line in retail stores throughout India to reach the consumer market.

“Our launch into India further represents our commitment to expand our presence worldwide,” said Tushar Kothari, vice president and general manager, Linksys. “We are confident of the exponential emerging growth of networked home and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India. SMEs need to have a broader range of products to choose from to build a high performance network. Linksys Division brings innovative, affordable, reliable network solutions for our customers.”

The Linksys range of products available in India includes Wireless-B and Wireless-G LAN equipment, broadband routers, network adapters, switches, print servers as well as gaming adapters and media adapters for the home and SOHO segment. The company’s broad line of switches and routers will enable small business and home users to share files, printers and broadband connections. Other innovative examples are products like the wireless gaming adapter and the digital media adapter that allow home users to communicate between PCs and home entertainment systems where pictures and music files can be shared seamlessly.
