Tandberg Data announces enhanced product line

Tandberg Data Asia has enhanced its SLR tape drive product line with the launch of the new SLR140 tape drive and SLRtape140 media. The new SLR140 tape drive stores up to 140 GB of data capacity and features a 43.2 GB per hour (12 MB per second) transfer rate with 2:1 data compression. The company claimed that the SLR140 tape drive and SLRtape140 media provide a complete data back-up, file transfer and archiving solution for IT systems and network environments at an affordable price. The SLR140 features a 5.25-inch half-height form factor to ensure easy integration into a PC server or workstation.
