‘Kaizen’ is a Japanese word meaning small, continuous improvements in the workplace, be it in manufacturing or services. This improvement is measured in terms of various metrics such as tonnes per day, percentage of samples passing quality parameters, average time taken to process a vendor’s bill, and so on.
