Samsung Sonoma

Features: The Sonoma range of notebook PCs is equipped with Intel’s Centrino mobile technology. The notebook PCs—X25, X20 & P40 have entertainment and business features ranging from high speed graphics to support for security options.

They are equipped with integrated wireless LAN access 802.11 G (54 MHz) and a battery life of 4 to 4.5 hours. The series is equipped with Intel’s GMA graphics controller (up to 224 MB) and 512 MB DDR II RAM (400 MHz). Samsung’s notebook PC’s use the Intel’s i915 chipset (FSB speed of 533 MHz) and Max Video RAM 128 or 224 MB using the Intel GMA 900 GMA technology.

Plustek OpticBook 3600

Features: This is a solution for scanning books with SEE (Shadow Elimination Element) technology. With this technology, the shadow of the book or distorted lines of text are eliminated from scanned images. Seven one-touch buttons can scan bound originals (books, magazines) or normal paper (photos, documents) and save the scanned images or convert images of the text document into text files.

This text file can be edited with a word processor. The user has the choice to send them to another application for further editing, to a printer, or to a new e-mail message as attached files. With a scan speed of 7 seconds for an A4 size colour, grayscale and B/W scan at 300 dpi, the solution has Reversible Reflective Document Mat built into the lid. It also has white backing for normal scanning, black for auto cropping and clearer scans of thin pages.
