Bridging the pay gap
For most software professionals, the lure of a fat pay packet is the most attractive part of working with MNCs. This trend has been a cause for concern to Indian IT majors that are unable to match the salaries offered by their foreign competitors. High quality service at lower cost is the USP of Indian IT companies. This has been achieved by keeping employee costs as low as possible. Foreign paymasters have taken advantage of this to attract the best talent available in the country.

Analysing leadership behaviour
Interest in leadership is practical: leaders help get the job done. For over fifty years, social scientists have been studying leadership by analysing group communication patterns. The research suggests that two basic types of leadership behaviours emerge in most groups. The first is task leadership behaviour, which directs the activity of the group towards a specified goal. The second is social leadership behaviour, which helps build and maintain positive relationships among group members.

A corporate citizen
Philanthropy might not be an uncommon trait among corporate leaders, but there are very few who have successfully managed to share their personal passion for social welfare in their organisation. The Noida centre head of Xansa India, Sanjiv Tandon, is among them. Tandon also heads the BPO operations of the company in India. For him, the greatest motivating factor is the strong sense of corporate social responsibility (CSR) that drives Xansa’s commitment to help create a thriving and prosperous society.
