Brocade’s new offices

Brocade Communications Systems has established new offices in New Delhi and Mumbai to address the growing regional market requirements for Storage Area Network (SAN) products and expertise in deploying network storage infrastructure in IT data centres.

“As one of the most popular regions in the world for outsourcing IT services, data centres in India are experiencing rapid growth, and with this comes growing complexity,” says Deb Dutta, Vice-president of

Brocade Asia Pacific. “IT organisations are increasingly focussed on reducing these complexities to improve operational efficiency, which will, in turn, drive demand for smart SAN strategies.”

Web Spiders’ Gold Status

Web Spiders (India), which has two development centres in Kolkata and offices abroad, has attained the Gold Certified Partner Status from Microsoft. It attained this by achieving competencies in ISV software solutions, integrated e-learning solutions, business intelligence solutions and information worker productivity solutions. Says Siddharth Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Web Spiders, “This accreditation will further enhance our position as a leading IT outsourcing provider for e-business and large-scale software systems.”

Spice deploys IP SAN

Intransa Inc, a leader in network-centric, enterprise IP-storage systems, has announced that Spice Telecom, a cellular service provider in India, has chosen to deploy Intransa’s IP SAN to host its mission-critical core enterprise database application. This enables Spice to implement a TCP/IP standard-based, cost-effective, easily-scalable data management and disaster recovery (DR) solution for its mission-critical data, and sets the stage for Spice to deliver newer generation data-intensive cellular services.
