Pointsec enters India

Pointsec, a subsidiary of Protect Data AB has announced its entry into the Indian market. It has appointed Trident Infotech Services as its distribution and service support partner and has plans to have its India office in Mumbai by September 2006.

The company has launched its range of mobile device security products. In the first year, it would focus on the enterprise segment, particularly high sensitive security verticals such as IT services, BPO, banking, financial services and insurance and telecom.

Commenting on India operations Thomas Bill, CEO said, “I am confident that our first mover position here will help us capture a significant market.”

Pointsec offers comprehensive access control and encryption solutions for mobile devices such as laptops, PDAs and smartphones, which work on all operating systems.
