Serving customers better
After a brief stint in domestic projects, the company was not happy with the
outcome. It plans to stay focussed on the demands for offshore outsourcing.
We have had good relations with our offshore clients and are satisfied
in serving them with our solutions, says Srivastav. The company has been
known for providing solutions that cut costs significantly and improve business.
Keane is into the philosophy of believing and investing in its human resources.
The subsidiary plays an important role in the global delivery model comprising
onsite, offsite, near shore, and offshore delivery. The global service delivery
model offers customers the flexibility and economic advantage of fluidly allocating
work between a variety of delivery options.
Emphasis will be laid on verticals such as finance, banking, and insurance,
healthcare and manufacturing. It has 45 customers in India and gets a significant
share of projects from its parent, which has nearly 2,000 customers. Keane has
also taken an initiative in training students in accordance with the companys
needs. The company runs the Keane School of Excellence at IIIT, Hyderabad. It
specialises in imparting customised technical training to IT professionals in
object-oriented technologies including e-commerce, says Srivastav.
Keane India is interested in further strengthening its role in offshore outsourcing.
The company hopes that it will continue to build its centres for testing and
advanced technologies and getting more projects, ensuring that India plays a
critical role in helping Keane provide powerful global solutions.
